Clinician

The Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program is seeking applicants for a clinicianThis is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. This position reports to the Executive Director of TLAP.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s level clinician actively seeking licensure or licensed clinician with a strong understanding of addiction & mood disorders.
  • Ability to work effectively with members of the legal profession.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to network with a range of professionals, associations, community resources and treatment facilities.
  • Public speaking experience, including development of presentation materials.
  • Support group facilitation experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word & Power Point.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state.

Duties and Responsibilities: Contract Clinician’s duties and responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following:

  • Assist lawyers, judges, & law students with consultation, assessments, short term motivational interviewing, referrals, and follow up support.
  • Promulgate and represent TLAP to legal professionals.
  • Develop and maintain a network of professional organizations and treatment resources.
  • Support Executive Director in program operation and execution of program policies and procedures.
  • Organize support networks throughout the state.
  • Assist in overseeing the TLAP Monitoring Program, including client case and file management, monitoring contracts, urine drug screens, volunteer assignments, database management, etc.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with other staff members to ensure that TLAP services are available after work hours.
  • Assist with administrative duties when necessary, including answering phones, typing, database entry, and filing.

This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you will be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position.
