Data Analyst - Nashville

The Technology Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking a qualified Data Analyst to join our software solutions delivery team. The ideal candidate for this position must be a great team player and an expert implementing software projects. The Data Analyst will help set the direction, strategy, and deployment of data that is critical to the success of the General Sessions Data Repository (GSDR) project. The data analyst collects, analyzes, mines and helps the business leverage the information stored in the GSDR data warehouse. Incumbent will perform data integration, data quality analysis, data modeling, design, and report development to deliver short and long term data solutions.

We are looking for someone who is a data-driven self-starter, team oriented, and a great communicator, with the skills necessary to ensure successful growth and support of our data warehousing system project. The incumbent will assist staff with data management, data quality and reporting system maintenance and troubleshooting as needed. The incumbent may work with outside vendors to provide and collect data needed in order to meet contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and/or AOC GSDR goals. This role requires strong technical ability as well as strong business acumen.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collaborate with Data Architects and Developers, creates User Acceptance Criteria based on requirements, data schemas and reporting mockups. Able to evaluate data to make business recommendations based on analysis of the data, able to work with client on report enhancements/questions that translate stakeholder’s requirements into reporting deliverables, performs data analysis and business intelligence analysis in support of executive and practice group management objectives. Organization, data quality assessment and data profiling, Monitor data quality, troubleshoot data-related problems and offer solutions, expertise in delivery technologies and data access, including familiarity with metadata, data, maintain and assist in data model documentation, data dictionary, and data governance documentation, build out and maintain Product Catalog artifacts for Product Reporting that contain all the required documentation to support internal and external parties. Identifies opportunities for improving reporting features and business processes as a result of user interviews, competitive intelligence and client feedback, interact with development/testing teams to facilitate on-going Q&A of requirements through the software development lifecycle and agile process, perform data validation tests, QA testing of developed solutions, documents and manages Change Requests for defects and enhancements in JIRA.

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, or equivalent required. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and data quality. Must possess a high degree of self-organization and have excellent communication skills. Experience with data management platforms (e.g. SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) is desirable. Able to track down reporting issues (SQL experience/ERP).
