IT Field Technician – West, TN

The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking an IT Field Technician in West Tennessee.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1.       Provide on-site service to judges and clerks offices in support of state-provided, or state-recommended, technology equipment within a predefined region.

2.       Perform, at the highest level, repairs, upgrades or replacements of desktop and laptop computers, laser printers, network switches, network servers and other, related technology equipment.

3.       Properly record the movement and relocation of equipment.

4.       Communicate with a wide variety of constituents and be able to relate information effectively in a highly professional environment.

5.       Train users on proper usage of equipment.

6.       Maintain knowledge of departmental policies regarding the use of state-owned equipment.

7.       Assist in other areas as requested by supervisor.

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Education:  Graduation from Technology focused Vocational School, Trade School or College.  A valid Tennessee driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required. Must be able to lift and transport 75 pounds. Must have excellent customer service skills.

Substitutions of Experience for Education:Experience may be substituted for education.
