IT Support Specialist

The Administrative Office of the Courts, Technology Division, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of IT Support Specialist.  This is an intermediate level technician position primarily providing technology support to Nashville area offices. The position may at times, require travel within the state of Tennessee.  A valid Tennessee driver’s license, proof of insurance and dependable vehicle is required.

Proven technical skills must include desktop and laser printer repair and maintenance, installing application software, using imaging software, adding devices to networks and familiarity with business applications in a networked Windows/Linux environment. Tasks may include assisting in the relocation of offices encompassing the moving of furniture as well as the reinstallation of technology equipment. Applicants should be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be prepared to work in a highly professional office as part of a service oriented team.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Qualifications include a minimum of two years related work experience.  In addition, a minimum 2-years Associates degree with a technical major is preferred.

Substitutions of Experience for Education: Up to two years of experience supporting multiple users in an MS Windows, networked environment may substitute for required education. 

This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you will be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position.
