Lead Business Analyst

The Technology Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts in Nashville is seeking a qualified person for the position of Lead Business Analyst. The main duties of the position are:  analyze and document requirements for information systems; develop and/or oversee plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion; works with vendor, users and staff to ensure milestones and timelines are met; coordinate closely with court staff, vendor staff, users and technical staff to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications; develop, in conjunction with functional users, business process alternatives; provide support for the installation, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of information systems; conduct and document the results of special studies dealing with systems and/or business process issues; and work with users to develop performance measures and evaluation tools.

Qualifications:The successful applicant will possess strong written and oral communication skills with superior organizational skills.  Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or Computer and Information Systems is required.  Candidates must have significant professional experience defining systems, designing, developing and implementing technical automated solutions from manual systems and processes. Candidates must be able to work effectively with all levels of staff from clerical through agency executive management. Strong negotiating, analytical, group facilitation, and relationship management skills are required.  Candidates must work well in a team environment and must be proficient with Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2007 - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Experience with client server and web-based applications preferred.  A minimum of 3 years of current experience as a systems analyst is required.
