Staff Accountant

The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking a qualified person for the position of Staff Accountant. The primary responsibility of the position is grants accounting including entering grant proposals and budgets in Edison, processing billings and drawdown reports in Edison, tracking monthly expenditures to grant totals and reconciling to monthly reports, preparing annual Schedule of Federal Financial Assistance and periodic financial reports to grantor agencies and assisting in calculating match requirements. Other duties and responsibilities of the position may include, but are not limited to, processing journals, reconciling general ledger accounts and processing correcting entries. The position will be responsible for general accounting duties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited college and university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and experience equivalent to three or more years of full-time increasingly responsible professional accounting or auditing work. Experience with the State’s accounting system, Edison, preferred.

This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you will be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position.
