Tennessee featured at American Bar Association Conference

Members of the Tennessee legal community presented at the ABA Equal Justice Conference in Pittsburgh recently. Former Tennessee Supreme Court Access to Justice (ATJ) Commission Chairman Buck Lewis is also a co-chair of the conference as well as chairman of the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service. Buck Lewis and Samantha Sanchez, Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services (TALS), presented a workshop entitled, "ABA Free Legal Answers-What's Next?" which detailed the program, now live in more than 20 states, and plans for continued growth of the site. Ann Pruitt, Executive Director of TALS and Kirsten Jacobson, also with TALS, presented "Legal Wellness Checkups: Delivering Preventative Law through Cutting Edge Technology" on a new technology TALS implemented which serves as an automated legal wellness checkup to provide preventive, holistic services to low-income communities.
