Commission Advances 3 Names to Gov. Haslam for Circuit Court Opening in 21st District

The Governor’s Commission for Judicial Appointments met on September 30, 2014 in Franklin to hold a public hearing and conduct interviews of candidates for the circuit court vacancy in the 21st Judicial District, which serves Hickman, Lewis, Perry, and Williamson counties.

After interviewing the candidates and conducting a vote, the Commission has submitted the following three as nominees to Gov. Bill Haslam for the vacancy:

·   Deanna B. Johnson

·   David Henry Veile

·   Terry E. Wood

The vacancy was created by the appointment of Judge Timothy Easter to the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, effective September 1.
