Five Apply for 30th Judicial District Circuit Court Opening

The Trial Court Vacancy Commission will consider five applicants when it meets Friday, July 21, 2017 in Memphis to select nominees for the Circuit Court vacancy in the 30th Judicial District – Shelby County.

The vacancy was created by the announcement by Judge Robert L. Childers that he will retire June 30.

The applicants are:

Lewis W. Lyons, Memphis

Tabitha F. McNabb, Germantown

David M. Rudolph, Memphis

The Trial Court Vacancy Commission will interview the applicants on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Marriott Memphis East, 5795 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN, 38119.  The meeting will include a public hearing starting at 9:00 a.m. CDT, during which anyone may express their opinions in opposition to the applicants. The interviews and public hearing will be open to the public.

The Commission is expected to vote immediately following the interviews and forward three names to Gov. Bill Haslam for his consideration.
