Six Apply for 20th Judicial District Chancery Court Vacancy

The Trial Court Vacancy Commission will consider six applicants when it meets on Tuesday, December 4 in Nashville to select nominees for a seat on the 20th Judicial District Chancery Court. This district covers Davidson County. There is an impending vacancy on the court due to the Honorable Claudia C. Bonnyman's plan to retire effective January 1, 2019.

The applicants for the position of Chancellor on the court are:

David Michael Anthony

William Joseph Haynes, III - withdrawn 11/20/18

Stanley A. Kweller

Patricia Head Moskal

Christopher C. Sabis

Scott P. Tift

As part of its meeting, the Trial Court Vacancy Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 9 a.m. CDT in Nashville in the Cordell Hull Building in Senate Hearing Room 2. During this hearing anyone may express their opinions in opposition to the applicants. 

The Commission is expected to vote immediately following the interviews and forward three names to Governor Bill Haslam for his consideration.
