Digital Content Specialist

The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking to fill the position of Digital Content Specialist.  This position will serve as the primary webmaster for, will share duties of website development, case archiving, design and upkeep of, as well as several auxiliary websites. This position is part of the communications team and will be asked to assist as a primary substitute to the video production team. Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite required. Working knowledge of Drupal, WordPress and HTML language is preferred. Significant travel within the state of Tennessee will be associated with this position.


  • Creates content and posts updates for Writes and/or edits occasional content, verifies required posts are properly published.
  • Plans and creates new website features and pages, including interactive tools, videos, audio, and visual elements.
  • Designs creative front page and other graphic content for, social media and assists in creating video motion graphics.
  • Manages the development of archiving appellate court cases through the court systems intranet and internet postings.
  • Takes, edits and organizes photos.
  • Primary assistant in producing and editing videos of oral arguments, judicial conferences and other educational material.
  • Receives and responds to webmaster submissions made on
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned within the Communications office.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and/or Experience:  A bachelor’s degree in computer science, web design, communications, information sciences or a minimum of two years’ experience in graphic design, production or related field. Some experience may be met through extensive internships and a strong portfolio. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Dreamweaver required. Working knowledge of Drupal, WordPress or other content management system as well as basic coding skills preferred. Interest in the law, public policy and government preferred.

Other Requirements:Must be able to lift boxes weighing 20 lbs. Must be able to travel within the state of Tennessee multiple times a year.
