Student participants in the Lake County and Crockett County Youth Court programs attended oral arguments for the Supreme Court Workers' Compensation panel on Monday.
Following oral arguments, Supreme Court Justice Sharon Lee, who presided over the panel, and an attorney who argued one of the cases talked with the students and answered their questions.
The Youth Court program, often known as Teen Court, gives teens the ability to hear the cases of their peers and provide a disposition recommendation to the Juvenile Court judge. The Tennessee Youth Court program is coordinated through the Tennessee Bar Association.
