In this consolidated matter, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and several individual plaintiffs seek declaratory and injunctive relief from 2023 Tenn. Pub. Acts ch. 364, which voids any metropolitan government ordinance, resolution or charter provision that requires a supermajority vote of the local legislative body in order to improve, renovate, or demolish and replace existing facilities owned by the metropolitan government when the facilities are used for substantially the same purpose before and after any improvement, renovation, or demolition and replacement and substitutes in its place the same voting requirement applicable to ordinances of the legislative body generally.
