Access and Visitation Grants Available for Initiatives Serving Self-Represented Parents

The Administrative Office of the Courts has approximately $200,000 in grant funding available for organizations to develop, or continue, initiatives that address the legal needs of parents with child support issues. These initiatives may include efforts such as mediation programs, self-help centers, legal clinics, and unbundled legal services targeted at divorced, divorcing, or never married self-represented litigants with cases involving child support issues.

This funding is made possible through the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Access and Visitation Mandatory Grants program and is administered by the AOC through an agreement with the State of Tennessee’s Department of Human Services.

The Grant must be for services rendered between October 1, 2018 and September 30, 2019. Applicants must be a unit of government or nonprofit organization.

To be considered for funding, the grant application must be received by the AOC by 4 p.m. (CDT) on Friday, August 17, 2018.  Please compile all required documents and submit one application packet via email to: grants@tncourts.gov or via fax to (615) 741-6285.
