Access to Justice and Digital Media Staff Assistant

The Court Services Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts in Nashville is seeking a qualified person for the position of Access to Justice and Digital Media Staff Assistant. The successful applicant will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about making access to justice a reality for all Tennesseans.  We are seeking a creative person with communications and graphic design skills to help us successfully tell our story. 

Under the direction of the Director of Access to Justice, a person in this position specializes in administrative operations for the Access to Justice Initiative, assisting both the Director of Access to Justice and the Pro Bono Coordinator.  The position will play a key role in the TN Justice Bus, website development and administration, communications, social media, meeting administration, and team support.

The position will also consist of professional work in administrative assistance to the Access, Innovation, and Community Engagement (AICE) division.  The AICE division staffs and coordinates the Access to Justice Commission, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission, the court interpreter and language access program, and other programs for the Tennessee court system.

Proven skills in Microsoft Office programs are required. Familiarity with tools including but not limited to InDesign, Canva, MailChimp, Survey Monkey, and similar tools is required. Effective oral and written communication skills, listening skills, and organization and planning skills also are required.

Education and Experience: The successful applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree.  Applicants with an Associate’s degree and at least two years of experience will be considered.  A background or knowledge of graphic design and/or communications is strongly desired.
