Access to Justice and Digital Media Staff Assistant

The Access, Innovation, and Community Engagement Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts in Nashville is seeking a qualified person for the position of Access to Justice and Digital Media Staff Assistant. The successful applicant will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about making access to justice a reality for all Tennesseans. The position offers a mix of both creative and administrative functions to support the access to justice initiative and the division.

 

The position will play a key role in the access to justice website development and administration, communications, social media, meeting and event coordination, and team support. We are seeking a creative person with communications and social media skills to help us successfully tell our story.

 

The position will report to the division director, the Director of Access to Justice and Strategic Collaboration. The position will coordinate communications and handling event planning for the access to justice team. The division staffs and coordinates the Access to Justice Commission, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission, the court interpreter and language access program, and other programs for the Tennessee court system.

 

Proven skills in Microsoft Office programs are required. Familiarity with tools including but not limited to Word Press, InDesign, Canva, MailChimp, Survey Monkey, Hoot Suite, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram is required. Effective oral and written communication skills, listening skills, and organization skills are required.

 

Education and Experience: The successful applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree.  Applicants with an Associate’s degree and at least two years of experience will be considered.  A background or knowledge of graphic design and/or communications is strongly desired.
