Database Administrator

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is looking for a skilled and motivated Database Administrator to join our Information Technology Services Division working directly with the Application Development Team.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:

· Manage and maintain the AOC's critical databases

· Design, implement, and optimize database structures

· Safeguard data integrity through robust security measures

· Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures

· Troubleshoot and resolve database issues

· Collaborate with IT staff and other departments on database-related projects

· Support third party vendors

· Strong understanding of database concepts and principles (SQL experience a plus!)

· Experience working with database management systems (Oracle and SQL Server)

· Proficiency in data security best practices

· Experience in .Net Environment

Education / Experience:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional level experience in the analysis, design, and programming of business information systems utilizing database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server), including at least one year of specialized experience that involved data modeling, database design, or performance monitoring and tuning of database management systems. Experience using, TOAD or PLSQL Developer and SQL Server Management Studio is a requirement. Experience using Crystal Reports and C# .Net is a plus.

Substitutions of Experience for Education: Professional level experience in the analysis, design, or programming of business information systems using .NET and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server) may substitute for the required bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.
