Nashville, Tenn. – Ten Middle Tennessee attorneys have applied to fill the judicial vacancy on the Court of Criminal Appeals created by the impending retirement of Judge David H. Welles.
The Judicial Nominating Commission will hold a public meeting on Monday, June 6, to interview the following candidates:

The public hearing will be held on Monday, June 6 at 9:00 a.m. at Legislative Plaza Room 16 in Nashville, Tenn.During the public hearing, attorneys and members of the public may express their approval or objections to the candidates.
Following the public hearing, the commission will interview each applicant before recommending three candidates to the governor. Members of the public are invited to attend both the public hearing and the interviews.
