Comment Period Has Ended for Judicial Nominating Commission

Nashville, Tenn. – The Administrative Office of the Courts has submitted the 237 applications for the Judicial Nominating Commission, along with more than 100 comments about the applicants, to Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey and House Speaker Kent Williams for review. The public comment period ended on August 17 at 4:30 p.m.

Lt. Gov. Ramsey and Speaker Williams have 14 days to appoint members to the Judicial Nominating Commission. Members of the 17-member commission will review and recommend applicants for vacancies on the state appellate and trial courts for the governor’s consideration.
