Plaintiffs filed suit to challenge the constitutionality of Tennessee Senate Bill 6002 (SB 6002), effective July 1, 2025, which amends Tenn. Code Ann. § 7-3-101 et seq. to criminalize as a Class E felony any local government official’s vote for a “sanctuary policy” impeding federal immigration enforcement.
