The Judicial Nominating Commission met in Maryville today to review the four applicants for the judicial vacancy in the 5th Judicial District created by the retirement of Judge W. Dale Young.
After holding a public hearing and an interview for each applicant, the Judicial Nominating Commission has recommended the following three candidates to Governor Bill Haslam:

Tammy M. Harrington
Deputy District Attorney General
5th Judicial District

Lynn C. Peterson
Attorney
Lewis, King, Krieg and Waldrop, P.C.
Maryville, Tennessee
The governor may now appoint one of these candidates.
