The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will consider nine applicants when it meets July 14 in Clarksville to select nominees for the impending circuit court vacancy in the 19th Judicial District, which serves Montgomery and Robertson counties.
The vacancy was created by the legislature this spring and signed by Gov. Bill Haslam May 18. The position is effective September 1, 2015.

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will interview the applicants on Tuesday, July 14 in the Montgomery Room within The Riverview Inn, 50 College St., Clarksville. The meeting will include a public hearing starting at 9 a.m. CDT, during which members of the public may express their opinions about the applicants. The interview and public hearing will be open to the public.
The council is expected to make their selections immediately following the interviews and forward the names to Gov. Bill Haslam for his consideration.
