In this consolidated matter, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County seeks injunctive and declaratory relief from the Nashville Airport Authority Transfer Act, 2023 Pub. Acts ch. 488 (S.B. 1326), which restructures the governance of airport authorities in metropolitan counties with populations exceeding 500,000 on the 2020 or a subsequent federal census, on the bases that it violates Article XI, Section 9 and Article I, Section 8 together with Article XI, Section 8 of the Tennessee Constitution.
