Guffee to be sworn in Wednesday as Williamson County's first juvenile judge

Sharon E. Guffee will be sworn in as Williamson County’s first Juvenile Court judge on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Supreme Court Justice Cornelia A. Clark, a native of Franklin, will administer the oath at 2 p.m. at the historic Williamson County Courthouse.

Guffee has served as a Juvenile Court referee and also has worked in private practice. She earned a J.D. from the Nashville School of Law and has a B.S. in nursing from the University of South Carolina. The juvenile judge position was approved by the Tennessee General Assembly earlier this year. The Williamson County Commission voted unanimously in June to appoint Guffee to the position.
