This workers' compensation appeal has been referred to the Special Workers' Compensation Appeals Panel in accordance with Tenn. Code Ann. _ 5-6-225(e)(3) for hearing and reporting of findings of fact and conclusions of law. In this appeal, the employer and its insurer insist (1) the employee did not suffer an injury compensable under the workers' compensation law of Tennessee, (2) the award of permanent partial disability benefits is excessive and (3) the trial judge erred in rejecting the testimony of Dr. Robert E.
