Statement from Chief Justice Cornelia Clark:

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Judge Wallace. He was a wonderful member of our judicial family. The state has lost a true servant in Judge Wallace as he served on the bench for more than 22 years, first as a circuit court judge, then as a senior judge.

“Judge Wallace had a deep knowledge of the law, but also brought a lot of common sense to the bench. He always stepped up when needed, filling in on cases from one end of the state to the other. He served willingly and graciously – truly, a model judge and person. He will be sorely missed.

“Our hearts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”
