Chief Justice Cornelia Clark presented awards to eight women who were chosen as Mothers of the Year by the Tennessee Justice Center, a nonprofit law and advocacy firm in Nashville. On May 5, the Tennessee Justice Center hosted the reception to honor these women for their persistence in fighting to obtain healthcare services for their grandchildren, children and brother. Chief Justice Connie Clark presented each mother with her award and offered words of encouragement and congratulations.
More than 100 attendees enjoyed food, wine, and a spectacular view from the 28th floor.
Among the guests attending were Judge Claudia Bonnyman, Gail Ashworth, Gregg Ramos, Barry Kolar, Sarah Hayman, Monica Mackie, Margaret Moore, Jackie Dixon, Chris Coleman, Gary Housepian, Linda O’Neal, Dr. James Powers, Dr. Christina Cain-Swope, Malcolm Getz, Robin Kimbrough, Donna DeStefano, and Beth Uselton.
