The notation of a judgment in the docket constitutes entry of the judgment. The clerk of the appellate court shall prepare and enter the judgment following receipt of the opinion of the appellate court unless the court orders otherwise. The clerk shall, on the day judgment is entered, mail a copy of the opinion and notice of the date of entry of the judgment to the parties. Entry of the judgment shall not be delayed for the taxing of costs.
