Graduation for the Tennessee Government Executive Institute's Class of 2016 was held November 1st at the TBI headquarters in Nashville. Along with Department of Human Resources Commissioner Rebecca Hunter, AOC General Counsel Rachel Harmon was a featured speaker at the graduation. Rachel was elected by her classmates to serve as class president and the class representative on the Tennessee Government Leadership Council. AOC Director Deborah Taylor Tate was present to congratulate Rachel and her TGEI class.
The partnership between the Department of Human Resources and the University of Tennessee's Institute for Public Service makes TGEI possible. TGEI is senior-level leadership program conducted over a two-week residential executive institute that provides senior-level managers in Tennessee state government the opportunity for academic study, learning in executive responsibility, and cross agency networking designed to enhance the individual skills of senior leaders.
