Three Names Sent to Governor for Chancery Court Vacancy in 1st Judicial District

The Judicial Nominating Commission met on June 14, 2013 in Johnson City, Tenn., to hold a public hearing and conduct interviews of candidates for the Chancery Court vacancy in the 1st Judicial District.

After interviewing the candidates and conducting a vote, they have submitted the following three as nominees to Gov. Bill Haslam for the vacancy in the district that serves Carter, Johnson, Unicoi and Washington counties.

The vacancy is being created by the retirement of Chancellor G. Richard Johnson, effective June 30.
