The Governor’s Commission for Judicial Appointments will consider 6 applicants when it meets September 30 in Franklin to select nominees for the circuit court vacancy in the 21st Judicial District, which serves Hickman, Lewis, Perry, and Williamson counties.
The vacancy has been created by the appointment of Judge Timothy Easter to the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, effective September 1.

The Governor’s Commission for Judicial Appointments will interview the applicants on September 30 at Embassy Suites Nashville South - Cool Springs, 820 Crescent Centre Dr. Franklin.The meeting will include a public hearing at 9 a.m., during which members of the public may express their opinions about the applicants. The interview and public hearing will be open to the public.
The commission is expected to make their selections immediately following the interviews and forward the names to Governor Bill Haslam for his consideration.
