Sierra Alexander found it inviting when she learned the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals Middle Section was visiting Union University on Tuesday.
“This was a first-time experience, and it’s pretty cool,” Alexander said. “I’ve never been to a court of appeals, so this was very interesting.”
Alexander was one of 30 eighth-grade students from Three Oaks Middle School in Dyer County who attended the proceedings.
Those attending the event were allowed to have lunch with the judges and ask questions about the law, crimes, law school and law practice.
