Escobar Joins AOC as Deputy Director

Ana L. Escobar, former Nashville and Davidson County Metropolitan Clerk has joined the Administrative Office of the Courts as Deputy Director.

Prior to joining the AOC, Escobar spent more than two years heading up Metro’s Clerk’s Office. She also has served as a Davidson County drug prosecutor and had a private law practice.

Escobar is a sustainer member of The Junior League, and has been a member of the state’s Judicial Nominating Commission, the Davidson County Planning Commission, The YWCA board of directors, the Conexion Americas board of directors, and the Hands On Nashville board of directors. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and The George Washington University Law School.

Escobar’s first day was November 18. She will be joined by Administrative Director Bill Young on December 2. Young is succeeding Libby Sykes, who is retiring after 27 years of service to state government.
