Knoxville Legal Community Steps Up in Race Against Racism

Nearly 300 people, including a Tennessee Supreme Court justice and a Knoxville Circuit Court judge, braved temperatures in the 30s to participate in the Race Against Racism, part of the 2014 Diversity Day and Knoxville Martin Luther King Day celebration.

Justice Sharon G. Lee is chair of the Diversity Day and Race Against Racism, as well as a member of the YWCA board of directors. Judge Debbie Stevens is the president of the YWCA board of directors. The event was held January 18 and proceeds benefitted YWCA programs, including free youth and senior programming in east Knoxville.
